We would like these guidelines to be followed both in guild chat and when not around guild members, as all actions of members reflect on the guild as a whole.

General Rules

  • We expect a certain level of maturity from our members. Showing a constant lack of immaturity either in guild or out may result in being removed.
  • After 20-30 days of inactivity, unless prior notice is given (ie. vacation), characters will be assumed abandoned and dropped from the guild
  • If you have a complaint about a member please take a screenshot of what is going on. We would like to see the text as well as hear both sides of the story.

Guild Chat

  • No selling in guild chat. It is fine to offer items in guild chat before they go up for auction but WTS [item] is not needed.
  • No begging for gold. There are points along the way where you can ask for money, such as for a mount. Please try not to spam guild chat with the request though.
  • No begging for high level help. There is nothing at lower levels that requires help from high level members, not to mention the fact that it nurfs content. Members can ask "who wants to go", it is then up to the higher level players to volunteer if they are available to help.
  • Please don't try and impersonate other guild members by placing spaces in guild chat box.
  • Please no cursing in guild chat. Some words are fine and this is a flexible rule but random curses or long strings of them are not acceptable.

New Members

  • New members should be above level 50. We will make exceptions for friends of members but still prefer above 40. Remember that most of the members are a higher level so a person in the 30s will likely have a hard time finding a group in this guild. Lower level members should expect this when they join and assume they will not get much help from people inside the guild.
  • Alternate Characters will be allowed in the guild at level 25 only if they are marked as who they belong to. Exceptions will be made for officers to ensure constant moderation.
  • If we have heard of previous problems with a person membership may be refused.
  • Message an officer for information on joining. Only officers are able to invite to ensure enforcement of the rules.
  • Ewiges is invite only. If you wish to be considered for membership, register and post on our forums under "Non-guild Visitors" with a message describing yourself and what you want out of a guild. If invited you will be sent both an invitation via in-game mail and a PM if online.

Promotion System

  • A person's guild note should be set with date joined and who gave the invite. Such as 3/30/05 - Alyyx.
  • After 1 week the person will be promoted to Member rank. This is the second rank up. Most members will never move above this rank. This period may be extended at an officer's discretion.
  • After a long time in the guild, showing exceptional performance and a comitment to the guild a person may be promoted to Officer. We will be keeping a small officer team so these promotions will be rare. Our goal is to have enough officers to always have one online yet a small enough group to keep up good communication.

Instance Loot
These rules apply specifically to guild instance runs. Many of these principles are also widely accepted in pickup runs.

  • Only roll on bind on pickup (BoP) items if you need it and will use it. If no one needs it everyone should pass then roll again after for vendor (/random 100). By passing the winner then has a chance to get it disenchanted or pick it up for vendor.
  • We also encourage members to take note of greater need or a person who has been trying hard to get an item. If a person has been doing the same instance for a month to get an item and it is your first run it is a nice gesture to pass if you see it drop. Likewise if you have a 41dps dagger and a 42 dps dagger drops you have every right to roll but if someone is using a 33dps dagger it is a nice gesture to pass. Notice the word encourage, if your set drops or a weapon you would use drops you have every right to roll but at times it is nice to pass.
  • Free roll on non-set Bind on Equip (BoE) items. You do not have to give such items to members if they need but it is a nice gesture to offer.
  • Please only roll on your set. Set items are end game items and are treated very seriously, picking up the wrong set item over another member is highly frowned upon.
  • Set Item Priority:
    We take set items very seriously. These classes have priority over any other classes for the matching set items. A paladin cannot roll against a warrior that needs Valor. And a Mage or Priest cannot roll against a warlock that needs Dreadmist. If they do not need that particular item, then those that would use may roll for it. Otherwise the item is greeded (/random).

      Druids = Wildheart
      Hunters = Beaststalker
      Mages = Magister
      Paladins = Lightforge
      Priests = Devout
      Rogues = Shadowcraft
      Warlocks = Dreadmist
      Warriors = Valor
  • Concerning classes of armor, priority is given to those of optimal level first. For example, should a cloth item drop that increases healing, priority is given to priest before a holy paladin. Should the priest not need, then other classes can be considered for need. Reason being equipment is designed by Blizzard with consideration towards armor level restrictions and it is unfair for a paladin to roll on 4 lines of armor (plate, mail, leather, cloth) when a priest can only roll on one (cloth).
