9/03/2005 How do you kill a Fire God? Without any Ner'zhul transfers or any mindcontrolled UBRS Fire Resist buffs, Ewiges took down Ragnaros tonight with only one set of Sons of Flame, clearing all of MC in two days. As one of the very few guilds in all of WoW to /random loot all the way through Ragnaros, the drops: Band of Sulfuras, Malistar's Defender, Legplates of Wrath and Stormrage Legguards, grats to Goodlinga, Skadi, Zorro and Aliyaah.Congrats to everyone that came out and much thanks to everyone who farmed pots, materials and nets that made this kill possible. Onyxia Pummeled. Ewiges took down Onyxia with 31 players (4 Warriors, 5 Priests, 2 Druids, 5 Paladins, 5 Rogues, 5 Hunters, 3 Warlocks and 2 Mages) in under 14 mins without mid-fight paladin ressing, leaving: Helm of Wrath, Bloodfang Hood, Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire. Grats Vassilly, Kukulkan and Xianghua. The honor of turning in The Head of Onyxia went to Langmui, who tanked and proposed the new EL strategy to slay the buffed dragon. New MC Priority! As of last Wednesday, members with good Fire Resist unbuffed now get priority invitations to Molten Core. Message an officer for equipment check who will try to give advice and add a FR*** tag next to your guild note (ie. you have 150 fire resist, then FR150). Certain classes such as melee will need more than others. Try to choose a good balance between stats and FR gear. Those that meet the cutoff (currently 80FR) will message the raid leader for invites first, then the rest of the guild. MC Saturday! New instance. Look for Librams of Resilience as they add 20+ FR enchant to head or legs. Other materials you will need for the enchant are Burning Essence found in BRD from the Coffer Room (read where the Dark Keeper is from the Plaque in the coffer room, then drop him for the key), Black Diamond found on auction house or drops from instances such as BRD and BRS, 4 Crystal Spires (made from 10 yellow and 10 blue power crystals, turn in crystals at Eastern Pylon in Un'goro Crater). Domo To Go! One shot style polishes of the guards of Majordomo Executus leaving behind Ancient Petrified Leaf, Sash of Whispered Secrets and Fireguard Shoulders! Grats Arius, Darkmorrigan and Fron! HK: Leader! Ewiges took Cairne Bloodhoof, the Tauren Leader of Thunder Bluff, to the slaughter house. We came up the elevator and through the front door (no summoning), dispatched his guards, and then ended him with 39 of Ewiges' finest. The first horde leader to be killed on Crushridge, no doubt the first of many that will fall to EL. Videos will also be released, Cairne Steak will be served. Azuregos Dead! Pizza!?! Saturday night raiding was kicked off with an Onyxia kill. Onyxia dropped Saphiron Drape, Dragonstalker's Helm and Dragonstalker's Helm, congrats to Skadi, Zet and Arius. The honor of turning in the Head of Onyxia went to Gutsy, who has been Ewiges's consistent damage chart topping rogue. Grats Gutsy... but after waiting for countless ages for Gutsy to grab a slice of pizza and turn in the head for the Onyxia buff, Ewiges became enraged and rode to Blackrock Mountain and destroyed Molten Core in a fit anger and frustration. Oh My Fire God! Ewiges finished off Majordomo Executus's guards and summoned Ragnaros. Majordomo's treasure chest, Cache of the Firelord, held Eye of Divinity, Finkle's Lava Dredger and Core Forged Greaves. Grats go out to Whitemagic, Hinatasan (passed by Skadi) and Candranos. Also Giantstalker's Belt dropped, grats Endless. Ragnaros was taken down to 77-78% health on our first and only try, Ewiges will return to finish the job. Summoning Video! By the way, Ladric, Ewiges highly prized Fire Tank, is a football. 7/28/2005 Hinatasan bear-tanks on Sulfuron! Feral tanking action at its finest, Hinatsan tanked Sulfuron's self healing guard for the entire duration while the raid had to clear the other three guards first. Jedi was launched into the air after becoming the Living Bomb, got stuck, and had to run back into MC to get summoned before the looting because he was out of resurrection range. What better way to cap off the week than with an Onyxia run (aside from summoning Ragnaros)! We brought whoever was online with keys (33 people: 2 priests, 2 druids, 5 paladins as healers) and had one heck of a time (52%). So now we've got to help key up the rest of our priests and druids and Onyxia shall fall (instructions for Drakefire Amulet are at the bottom of this page). MC Resets Sunday! Fresh MC instance which means core leather and new epic loot. Check GMOTD for formation times. -Xianghua 6/25/2005 MC Blown Away and Incinerated! Baron Geddon and Golemagg the Incinerator were destroyed by Ewiges today. Baron dropped Felheart Shoulders and Talisman of Ephemeral Power! Grats to ME and Serina! Golemagg dropped Flameguard Gauntlets, Lawbringer Chestguard and Felheart Robe! Grats Vassilly, Draenus and Darkmorrigan! Ewiges also acquired Pattern: Core Armor Kit. The Core Armor Kits (+5 Defense) will first go to our main tanks, then to appropriate classes following. Onward! Shaky server connections and disconnects on Blizzard's end plagued us all night and prevented us from finishing off Sulfuron. But if you did not believe it before, believe it now, nothing will stop Ewiges from summoning Ragnaros. Onyxia and MC Saturday! The day after we killed the Dog, we killed it and Luci again. Lucifron dropped Cenarion Boots and Robe of Volatile Power. Grats Lumind and Guga. Magmadar dropped Legplates of Might, Striker's Mark and Eskhandar's Right Claw. Grats go out to Langmui, Arius and Merdock. Explicit won the roll for Legplates of Might, but he passed on them so our main tank, Langmui, could get them. We're lucky to have such a great player in the guild, and I'm sure that our MT feels the same. MC Loot Tables These have been posted in the member forums under Raid/Dungeon for over a week. These tables show what classes get to roll on what items. They are always up for debate and comments, however after the MC run starts, they are final until the next run. This is to avoid confusion and keep the distribution of loot smooth through the instance. Last night, Serina got the epic priest belt, Girdle of Prophecy! Congrats! 5/25/2005 Molten Core Saturday! Every weekend, and soon on weekdays, we will be hitting Molten Core. Make sure you have finished Attunement to the Core before the raid, instructions are posted on 5/20. Optional, you may want to finish the questline for Lord Hydraxis in Azshara so that you can get the Molten Core quest which starts the fame quest for Hydraxis. Key up for Onyxia! Work on your Onyxia Chain. Instructions are provided on 5/16 post. We will attempt to run Onyxia should our MC raid have enough keys (Drakefire Amulet) to make a serious attempt after the MC raid. New Recruitment Standards. Ewiges Licht is now invite only for those level 50 or higher. If you wish to be considered for membership, register and post on our forums under "Non-guild Visitors" with a message describing yourself and what you want out of a guild. If invited you will be sent both an invitation via in-game mail and a PM if online. Ewiges is specifically looking for: Druids, Mages, Priests, Warlocks at the present time, but will consider other classes. Rules Update. A section on set item priorities have been added. These priorities have always been part of guild practice. They are now written down for clarification for new members. All members must know and read the looting rules on set items. If you do not agree with and have a problem with these rules, this guild is not for you. 5/22/2005 It is time for Onyxia and Molten Core! Onyxia's Lair and Molten Core Raids this Sunday! Guys we've pushed a lot of keys through this week and we will hit Onyxia on Sunday regardless of how many can make it. I know graduation going on for some of you, so come if you can. Immediately following our attempt on Onyxia we will hit Molten Core with the same raid group and pick up some other guildmates and friends as needed. Get your Drakefire Amulet and finish Attunement to the Core! The instructions on how to get your key to Onyxia's Lair are listed on 5/16's post. If you haven't already finished Attunement to the Core, pick up the quest infront of the Quary entrance leading to BRD from the elf, get a raid party of 10 and fight to the Seven Ghosts, then take a right after killing them, and pick up the Core Fragment from the large rock on the left of the green raid portal to MC (do not go into the portal before picking up the Core Fragment, you won't be able to return). Again you will need to finish this quest to go with us to MC. Also note, do not go with other raids to Molten Core, you could get flagged for six days meaning you will not be able to do MC with us for about a week. -Xianghua
Guilds oi and Ewiges Licht have merged! We're proud to fight under the same guild banner to dominate the horde and defeat end game dungeons and bosses, but more importantly... to have fun! Get your Onyxia Keys! We're planning on making a run to slay the dragon this weekend so work on your keys, otherwise you won't be coming. It takes a few hours to complete, but in the end it's worth it (quest chain also gives a lot of XP, so do it before you hit 60 if you can). Helendis Riverhorn in Morgan's Vigil of Burning Steppes gives the quest Dragonkin Menace. Finish it and it should lead to a chain of quests that will take you back and forth from Lakeshire to Stormwind, back to Lakeshire, to Morgan's Vigil and then to Blackrock Depths to find Marshal Windsor in the prison cells. After finding him and turning in the quest in Morgan's Vigil, you will have to return to BRD to farm for a random drop (A Crumpled Note) which starts a quest when you use it. Take that note back to Windsor in the prison cell. He'll tell you to kill and collect information off General Angerforge and Golem Lord Argelmach in BRD. Return the information to Windsor and bust him out of jail in Jailbreak (Don't activate the quest before everyone has turned in the information quest and don't leave the instance until you've finished the Jailbreak quest). That should send you to Morgan's Vigil then to Stormwind where you'll meet Windsor at the gates (wait on him). After finishing that quest, head to the cave southwest of Everlook in Winterspring and talk to Haleh (you have to get to the blue symbol on the floor of the cave and click it which will teleport you to meet her). Try to complete this chain and then join a Upper Blackrock Spires raid to collect the Blood from General Drakkisath to finish your key back in Winterspring. We will be running UBRS all week long, so take that opportunity to get your Blood for the quest. Oh... and work on leveling your range weapons skills if they're not already 300. Regardless of what happens with Onyxia we will be using that same raid group to pay a visit to Molten Core. Check back soon as I work on a day that can fit as many people's schedules as possible. -Xianghua

-Xianghua 4/01/2005 Hey all. I just wanted to let you know, I'll be moving over this next week and won't have internet till it gets turned on in the new house. So till then I promoted Xianghua to guild leader.
